Girl Scout Cookies® Are On Sale Now in Richmond

A familiar part of American culture for more than 80 years, the annual Girl Scout Cookie Program is currently being conducted by the Girl Scout Commonwealth Council of Virginia (GSCC) through April 5.   The cookie sale coincides with Girl Scout Week (March 7-13) commemorating founder Juliette Gordon Low’s organization of the first Girl Scout Troup on March 12, 1912.

Proceeds from the Girl Scout Cookie Program fund local community service projects and provide girls with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to become future leaders through the program's business and economic literacy activities.  For 95 years, the GSCC has been building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.  Through the purchase of cookies, residents of central Virginia can support the Girl Scouts.

Each box of cookies costs $3.50 and they are available in the following flavors: Lemon Chalet Cremes, Trefoils, Do-si-dos, Samoas, Dulce de Leche, Thank U Berry Much, Tagalongs and Thin Mints.
