Since 2016, artoberVA has hosted a month-long celebration of arts & culture, prioritizing increased access to free arts and culture experiences through collaborations with individual artists and community-based organizations. Every October, in conjunction with National Arts and Humanities month, CultureWorks presents artoberVA to promote events, pop-ups, exhibits, performances, and any arts or cultural experience happening in the Richmond and Tri-Cities area.
During artoberVA’s seventh year, CultureWorks continues elevating a variety of diverse arts and culture offerings, by and for everyone. Communities are built through the power of shared arts and culture experiences across disciplines, and because of that, artoberVA promotes deepening connections, transcending barriers, and changing the trajectory of lives.
With over 1,075 artoberVA total experiences currently on the interactive Arts & Culture Calendar during the month of October, there are both in-person and virtual opportunities for community members to actively participate in throughout this month’s celebration.
From the return of The Richmond Folk Festival this weekend, to a collaboration between Intermission Beer Company and CultureWorks at their family-friendly Give Back & Bingo Night, to a special Tri-Cities showcase of music and visual arts, “Artoberfest,” at Petersburg Iron Works, and so much more, artoberVA is thrilled to a be a community catalyst for a wide variety of arts and culture resources.
