SUMMARY:14th Annual Hitting Cancer Below the Belt Boxer Brief 5K
DESCRIPTION:Richmond’s Boxer Brief 5K Run/Walk brings together colorectal cancer survivors, patients, family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to energize efforts to prevent and defeat our country’s second cancer killer in men and women, and #1 cancer killer in men under that age of 50. The 2025 theme was “Family and Friends Save Lives”. We know this is true so in 2026 the theme is…”You are the KEY to defeating colorectal cancer.” Join the movement, register, and bring friends! Colorectal cancer is a preventable, treatable, and beatable cancer and the proceeds support the work of Hitting Cancer Below the Belt (HCB2) to continue their screening and educational services. The event is high energy with music, awards, prizes, and the cutest kids’ activities creating an enthusiastic atmosphere of support and hope as we press forward to defeat colorectal cancer. HCB2 always offers a GLOBAL Virtual Challenge option for those living outside of Richmond, Virginia or for those interested in an entire weekend challenge. The goal of the virtual option is to accumulate miles as participants participate in various activities. The miles accumulated can be achieved through the following activities: Walk, Run, Ride, Swim, Paddle, even Pickeball! Perfect for the triathlete, the runner who also likes to hike, our swimmer friends, and for those rowing and paddling on the water. No need to record a time, we just need your awesome photos! Also several free children’s events! Details on our flyer. hcb2.org
