DESCRIPTION:New Voices for the Theater, SPARC’s nationally acclaimed statewide playwriting competition for Virginia students in grades 9-12, celebrates and cultivates young writing talent from across Virginia. On June 27, the 36th Annual Festival of New Works will feature six original one-act plays written by youth as part of the New Voices program. The plays will be directed by professional theatre directors and feature a mix of student and professional actors. These unique stories will be staged one time only, so don’t miss your chance to see Virginia’s rising playwright talents! Recommended for patrons ages 12+.
