DESCRIPTION:Mark Greenough on the History of the Reenactments The Liberty or Death events in 1927 were not intended to be repeated, but nonetheless planted a seed for revivals and reinventions of the dramatic retelling for public audiences spanning four generations. Join public historian, author and exhibit curator Mark Greenough for a journey through time back to the very first reenactment at St. John’s Church in 1927. Mr. Greenough managed the Liberty or Death Reenactment at St. John’s Church from 1992 to 2003 and currently works as the Tour Supervisor and Historian at the Virginia State Capitol in Richmond.
