SUMMARY:Starr Foster Dance: SHOUTING DISTANCE
DESCRIPTION:STARR FOSTER DANCE is excited to announce the premiere of SHOUTING DISTANCE, along with the debut of TRUTH and the return of NOT A DREAM for 5 performances at the Firehouse Theatre. SHOUTING DISTANCE, a new, whimsical dance-theater work, set in 1958, will have you dancing and laughing in your seat. In this work, the full company is joined by Richmond star actor John Mincks and five RVA guest dance artists. You can also join the company in the lobby to learn the “Nitty Gritty”. This new work is not to be missed! Also on the program is the premiere of TRUTH, a new quartet that delves into the balance between truth and deception. In celebration of the upcoming PAGE TO STAGE IV in December 2026, Artistic Director Starrene Foster is bringing back NOT A DREAM, which was inspired by an excerpt from a memoir written by Caitlin McGill. Saturday performances are PWYC.
