Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias can cause a person to act in different and unpredictable ways, patients sometimes behave aggressively, show signs of anxiety, or exhibit repetitive behaviors. Others’ reactions can lead to misunderstanding, frustration, and tension, particularly between the person with dementia and the caregiver. Attendees will learn strategies for handling these situations in order to alleviate these stressful moments.
