3D 4D Prenatal Ultrasound Studio now open in Innsbrook!

Creating a unique bonding experience between expectant families and their soon-to-be-born children!

March 31, 2011, Glen Allen, VA – Inner Child Imaging (, the West End’s premiere non-diagnostic 3D 4D Prenatal Ultrasound Studio is now open. Using the same harmless ultrasound technology used in hospitals, OB/GYN clinics and medical schools throughout the world, Inner Child Imaging allows expectant families to greet their bundle of joy months before baby greets the world. From our beautiful sky-lit atrium lobby to the plush power recliner for our pregnant guests and 42-inch LED screen on which to get your first 3D glimpse of baby, Inner Child Imaging has only one focus…the comfort and relaxation of our guests as they meet their new addition. Whether mom and dad want a quick glimpse to satisfy their curiosity or pictures and video to share with family and friends, Inner Child Imaging has a package for everyone.

2D ultrasound has been a mainstay of the prenatal process for decades. With the introduction of 3D technology over ten years ago, the diagnostic potential of ultrasound increased significantly. In addition to the diagnostic use of this technology, many studies have been published that demonstrate the incredible emotion and bonding effect 3D images and video of baby can have on an expectant family. While this technology exists in the clinical/diagnostic realm, the cost is often prohibitive for the average family and rarely paid for by insurance unless medically necessary. This has led to hundreds of non-diagnostic ultrasound facilities opening throughout the country which allow every pregnant family an opportunity to get a first glimpse of their baby at an affordable price.

Inner Child Imaging not only provides this technology but also a relaxing and positive atmosphere in which to introduce expectant families and their friends to their new miracle. We aim to do our part in making the journey of pregnancy the most positive experience possible for the expectant women and families in the Richmond area and throughout central Virginia.
