Allen & Allen Accepting Applications from High School Seniors for Annual Scholarship Program

The personal injury law firm Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen today has opened the application process for its annual George E. Allen Academic Scholarship. Each year, the scholarship awards 15 Virginia high school students who have overcome significant hardships with $2,000 scholarships as they prepare to embark on their post-high school journeys.

Launched in 1990, the scholarship was created to honor the firm’s founder, George E. Allen, Sr., who overcame significant obstacles to put himself through college and law school. At the age of 29, he became the youngest mayor in the history of Lunenburg County and went on to become a Senator and one of the Commonwealth’s top trial attorneys.

“The Allen Law Firm is proud to offer the George E. Allen Scholarship to exceptional high school students in the communities we serve. The recipients have worked to overcome significant personal challenges, while maintaining a strong focus on academics,” said Edward Allen, President of Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen. “Each year, we are inspired by the stories of perseverance and courage exhibited by the young adults. We can’t wait to meet the class of 2022 in the spring.”

An applicant must be a senior in a Virginia high school who plans to pursue advanced education through college, nursing, business, trade, technical training or a similar program. Future plans are not required to be in Virginia. The application deadline is Friday, March 4, 2022.
