    There are so many ways for families to get fit and give back in #RVA this spring! RFM is proud to sponsor these upcoming events. Whether you’re walking, running, or just cheering on the participants, there are lots of ways to show support.

    Check-in begins at 8AM, Kids’ Run at 9AM, timed 5K at 9:30AM
    On the historic campus of St. Joseph’s Villa

    Prizes will be awarded in age groups based on race results in 5K and places in the Kids’ Run. Prizes also will be awarded to those wearing the more heroic costumes.

    Have fun with spirit stops along the course and a post-race festival, featuring live music with the Jangling Reinharts, fantastic food, and activities for the kids. The event will wrap-up with an awards ceremony for top finishers and fundraising teams, and our awe-inspiring Kourageous Kids Victory Lap.

    The celebration continues in the evening with ASK Night at The Diamond.  Each registered race participant will receive a ticket to the Flying Squirrels’ home game, where they can cheer on ASK kids as they take the mound to sing the national anthem and throw the first pitch, as well as take another Kourageous Kids Victory Lap during 7th inning stretch.

    A fun day of exercise, great food, and camaraderie all while celebrating our special wish children and participants’ fundraising efforts. Enjoy a post-walk Kids Zone, featuring the Richmond SWAT Team, a petting zoo, local mascots, a bounce house, and more!

    Music, team challenge, survivors’ parade. New this year, a 5K run/walk to go with the recreational run/walk.

    Up to 75 percent of the net proceeds raised through the Komen Race for the Cure stays right here in our community to fund breast cancer programs, and at least 25 percent supports Susan G. Komen’s national grants program to fund research.
