There are so many ways for families to get fit and give back in #RVA this fall! RFM is proud to sponsor these upcoming events. Whether you’re walking, running, or cheering on the participants and enjoying time together as a family, it’s easy to show your support.

Children’s Hospital Foundation Four Mile Fun Run

Late Registration and packet pick-up from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Kids activities include bounce houses, face painting, games, and crafts from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Four-mile fun run begins at 9:30 a.m. with live music by The Jangling Reinharts from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. After party at Three Notch’d Brewing at noon. 5K Run/Advocacy Walk at 9:00 a.m. Ride the RVA trolley the whole/part way if you’d like! Free family festival 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. featuring live music by Premiere, children’s activities, pie throwing, pumpkin patch, sponsor and nonprofit displays, and more.  Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase. Richmond Heart Walk

Activities begin at 8:30 a.m., program begins at 9:30 a.m., and walk begins at 10:00 a.m. for this non-competitive 1 mile or 5K (3.1 mile) walk. Out of the Darkness Walk to Fight Suicide

Check-in/registration at 8:00 a.m., walk begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 11:00 a.m., closing ceremony and raffle at 11:30 a.m., after walk family picnic 11:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The walk route is just short of three miles. Regency Mile

The largest timed youth-only road race in Richmond, The Regency Mile features  school participation cash awards, one-year age group heats, and awards for overall winners. ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation 9th Annual Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins Run

Kids’ Donut Dash at 8:00 a.m. and Munchkins 5K Run/Walk begins at 9:00 a.m. and features munchkin stops at miles 1 and 2, and a Dunkin’ Donuts breakfast finish with donuts, coffee, hot chocolate, and traditional post-race fuel. Plus, t-shirts, medals, and swag for participants, and prizes for top finishers, largest teams, and best Dunkin’-themed costume. Register/more info: donutrun.org

 

19th Annual Richmond Jingle Bell Run

The Arthritis Foundation Virginia’s annual fun, festive 5K run/walk that brings together people (and dogs) from the Greater Richmond community to raise awareness and funds to support the mission.
