Her name was Shannon, and if I could have taken her home with me, I would have. She was our party assistant at Jumpology, and she jumped in with both feet the moment we walked in the door. “Let’s get everything out of your car,” she announced as we met. I’m gonna like this girl, I thought. From there, she helped me get the party room ready, greeted the guests, and got them checked in and wristbanded, and she didn’t stop until she had the car loaded back up an hour and forty-five minutes later.
Much of the paperwork was done in advance, since Jumpology has a state-of-the-art online waiver system that all parents could complete before arriving. If they didn’t, no worries, there are waiver stations there. All I had to do was email the guest list the day before the party, and we were all set.
From the kids’ perspective, it was nothing but non-stop fun. My soon-to-be 6-year-old was so excited to see his name in big bubble letters on the board outside our party room when we arrived, and when Shannon suited him up in his very own Jumpology flight shirt and socks, he really flipped. As his friends started to arrive, the anticipation to hit the trampolines grew, and at the stroke of two, they rushed onto the open field to start their hour of jumping fun. Are there just trampolines? Oh no! There is a way-cool foam pit that jumpers can jump, flip and dive straight into, there is dodgeball for the competitive-types, and even a basketball area to shoot some hoops, Jumpology-style!
After our hour of jumping, we had forty-five minutes in the party room, where Shannon had the snacks and drinks all set up for the kids, and the cupcakes in the ready position. Did I mention I wanted to take her home?
It was a fantastic way to celebrate one very special sixth birthday. Thanks, Jumpology for an unforgettable day!
