Podium’s Seventh Annual Awesome Adult Spelling Bee is slated for Thursday, May 24, 2018, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at RVA Event Space at Plant Zero, located at 0 East 4th Street, Richmond.
Podium is a nonprofit based in Richmond, whose mission is to inspire Richmond youth to become confident and capable writers with the skills necessary to succeed in school, career and life.
The bee is a networking event that provides much-needed revenue for Podium’s after-school programs for middle and high school-aged youth across Richmond. In 2017, Podium programs reached over 400 Richmond youth thanks to the success of last year’s event. Proceeds this year will fund Podium’s reading, writing and communication programs for children ages ten to nineteen.

Attendees will enjoy craft beer from two local breweries, Stone Brewing and Legend Brewing Co, and food provided by Station 2, Greek on Cary, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Secret Sandwich Society, Chick-fil-a, Frostings, and more.
