At the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, kids aged 5 to 14-years-old make art with the help of some of Richmond’s most prominent professional artists. Kids choose from more than 250 courses in a wide range of artistic media. Some favorites include wheel throwing, darkroom photography, stop motion animation and mural painting. One-week sessions run from June 17 to August 30, 2019. Morning classes are from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and afternoon classes are from 1–4 p.m. Parents can purchase our extended day add-on for just $50 to pick up any time before 5:30 p.m. Parents who sign up for a week of both morning and afternoon classes can send their child with a lunch to eat at VisArts during a supervised lunch hour, free of charge. Teens aged 15 to 18 years old should consider Art League, which runs on evenings in the summer.
