We are a traditional, overnight, camp for girls located in Bath County. Virginia – less than an hour west of Staunton. Our girls enjoy the many activities offered, including swimming in the emerald green waters of the Cowpasture River, canoeing, horseback riding, tennis, archery, arts & crafts, drama, sports and more! Girls live in rustic yet cozy screened cabins. We have a well trained, mature, and responsible counseling staff that teach the activities and live in the cabins with the campers. This group is primarily comprised of young women who were once campers with us. We are honored to say that we have an annual 80-85% return rate of campers for our Three & Six Week sessions with that rate reaching 88% for 2019! In 2016 we were listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Registry. As an older camp, we are steeped in rich tradition and values. Girls depart Camp Mont Shenandoah each summer with many skills, lifelong friends, and the courage and confidence to become resilient, competent, and successful young women.
