History comes to life at Hanover Tavern! Join us for our 2019 summer camp series program. These seven sessions are designed for students ages 9-12 who are passionate about history. Through interacting with our unique historic site, living history characters, and plenty of hands-on activities, campers will learn all about the causes, consequences, differences, and similarities of the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. This camp is designed to support Virginia Standards of Learning and foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of our history by making the past fun. Campers will meet historical characters who lived and worked in Hanover County. They will explore life in the colonial and Civil War periods by experimenting, engineering, and reenacting historical moments. All activities reinforce history and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) learning in an entertaining and memorable way.

Camps are on Wednesdays this year with the following dates: July 17, 24, 31, and August 7

Cost per child is $50 and includes a light breakfast and lunch.

Camps run from 9 AM until 2:30 PM each day.
