The VCU Outdoor Adventure Program and the VCU Rice Rivers Center present a brand new nature camp at for middle school age students. We will have a variety of activities each day including stream science and canoeing along the James River and the recently restored Kimages Creek. Throughout the week we will be joined by folks who are part of the VCU Prothonotary Warbler research team and folks from the Virginia Oyster Shell Recycling Program (VOSRP). Each week-long camp offering provides opportunities for exciting exploration of the natural world through science and outdoor activities.
This will be during the day only and a shuttle from the university will be available if needed. Shuttle will pick up from VCU at 8:30 am and drop off around 3:30 pm. Optional activities will continue at VCU until 5pm to allow for later pick up.
If you are interested in an overnight camp, please check out our Junior Journey on the James!
