A special interactive pop-up exhibition which showcases the vibrant heritage of Black music in Virginia. This exhibition highlights the talents of local Virginia artists, musicians, DJs, and historians, illustrating their contributions to the soulful rhythms and powerful narratives of the African American experience. QR codes accompany each piece on display, which unlock curated playlists of Black music that complement the visual art and thematic narratives of the exhibition. Visitors can also listen through headphones, creating a multisensory experience that deepens their understanding of the intricate connections between music and history.
