Margaret Thompson never thought she’d be a business owner (or a mom for that matter!), but after realizing a need for a high quality, content-focused magazine for Richmond area families, she dove in! With many years of marketing and project management under her belt, she pulls all of the pieces together to get RFM out to our eager readers. Mom of two teen boys, Margaret and her husband Chris live in Hanover County.

Karen Schwartzkopf is the managing editor of RFM. She is passionate about word-smithing, sharing local stories, parenting compassionate kids, and cheering on the Miami Heat. She lives with her husband in the trendy West End where they raised three adult kids and one childish dog.

Marcia feels grateful to have a rewarding job as RFM’s calendar editor that’s the perfect fit to help her keep up with her busy family. She loves procuring family events, date night ideas, workshops and seminars, and much more for Richmond area families. Marcia and her husband live in Henrico County. They are navigating parenting five children in very different stages of life – adult children, college-aged children, and a middle schooler.

After a successful career in marketing, including ten years with The Martin Agency, Kim shifted her primary focus to her deepest passion – family. Managing the day to day for RFM has been the perfect fit, not only providing her a job she loves, but also giving her a great resource throughout the different stages of her family life. Kim stays busy, alongside her husband, John, raising 2 very active young men!

Longtime educator and arts and crafts aficionado, Anne found her dream job representing Richmond Family Magazine at area events, non-profit walks, and festivals. Mom of three sons and a daughter and Granne to two adorable boys, Anne – and quite often her husband Tommy, too! – love spending time in the RVA community meeting area families and introducing them to RFM.

Digital Content Specialist

Lindsay Garrison loves using her passion for helping others, in combination with her love of family, to curate the “RVA Family Fun” column of RFM’s website. As Digital Content Specialist, she uses her extensive knowledge of Richmond and its surrounding areas to showcase family-friendly adventures. She lives in Midlothian with her two children, Eloise and Gus, and husband David.
