The Richmond area locations of Taziki’s Mediterranean Café are hosting food drives in conjunction with Feed More, a local hunger relief nonprofit. Boxes have been placed near the entrances of Taziki’s Chesterfield, Midlothian, and Innsbrook. Customers are encouraged to donate nonperishable products from now until February 10, 2021.

In 2020, Feed More’s programs and network of agencies provided 30 million meals to neighbors in need across 34 counties and cities across Central Virginia. From the Northern Neck to Louisa County and south to the North Carolina border, the organization distributed more than 37 million pounds of food, up from 31 million in 2019.

Here is a list of the most needed items by Feed More:

  • Peanut butter
  • Canned products – particularly canned soups and vegetables
  • Beans
  • Whole brain cereal
  • Healthy snacks
  • Whole grains

“The Taziki’s Mediterranean Café Richmond Team is actively collaborating with Feed More by extending the impact of the non-profit and helping the community in times of need,” said David Webber, Owner, Richmond- Taziki’s Mediterranean Café. “The friendly faces that greet customers at the restaurant will use their vast knowledge in meal prepping and operations at the Feed More kitchen by making meals for homebound neighbors and children across the region.”

All customers who bring five or more donations for the Taziki’s Feed More boxes will receive a free chicken gyro certificate that can be used at any Taziki’s Richmond location.

Following its ongoing socially responsible agenda, Taziki’s Mediterranean Café Richmond will be hosting a Give Back Night for Feed More on January 21 from 5 pm to 8 pm at all three of its area locations. Taziki’s will donate 10% of all sales to further support Feed More.
