At the Visual Arts Center of Richmond’s ArtVenture Summer Camp, kids ages 5 to 14 make art with the help of some of Richmond’s most talented artists and educators. Kids choose from courses in a wide range of visual art media. Some favorites include wheel throwing, darkroom photography, stop motion animation and mural painting. This summer, we’re excited to be able to offer both on-site and online classes. To keep our community safe, our on-site classes will follow rigorous safety precautions in addition to following our building-wide COVID-19 Safety Policies. ArtVenture runs for 11 weeks, June 20 through September 2. Each class runs from Monday through Friday. On-site classes are scheduled from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1-4 p.m. A supervised, socially distanced lunch hour is included if you’re signed up for on-site classes in both the morning and afternoon. Campers should bring their own lunches. Online classes are scheduled for 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m.
Our extended day add-on for pick up any time before 5:30 p.m is a great option for working families who may need a little extra time for pickup.
