Discovery Day: How Does Your Garden Grow?

Discover how the Powhatan Indians and English colonists relied on domesticated and wild plants to survive and flourish in Virginia. Activities include a make-and-take bean plant to grow, a plant-themed scavenger hunt, and hands-on planting, and processing of historic period crops. This program occurs both indoors and outside in a recreated historic site. Please dress appropriately for the weather and for hands on activities. For children ages 5 to 10, must be accompanied by an adult.
