A Play on the Porch: John Banister & William Watkins Discuss Patrick Henry’s Speech w. The Great Orator

John Banister invited fellow Dinwiddie Second VA Convention Delegate William Watkins and Patrick Henry to join him at Battersea to further discuss Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech delivered earlier that day at St. John’s Church in Richmond. They will sit on the porch and discuss what “Liberty” means to them, their businesses, their families, and the community. This is a collaborative event with St. John’s Church & admission is free.
It will also be a great opportunity to tour Battersea and see the amazing interior work that has been accomplished at this 1768 villa. Bring a chair, sit under the beautiful trees that are older than the house, perhaps pack a picnic and come enjoy this local/Virginia history.
