This holiday season, the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen (CACGA) invites shoppers to visit five unique shops across the Richmond region as part of their Handmade for the Holidays Passport program.

Now through December 15, shoppers are encouraged to pick up a passport at any one of the participating shops, get their card punched at all five locations, and return their passport to the last stop to be entered to win a prize package worth $150!

Visual Arts Manager, Lauren Hall notes: “This is an incredible collaboration between local businesses meant to raise awareness of our shops but also the immense talent found in the Richmond region. All five shops are so excited to introduce shoppers to our unique stores and to the work of local makers that you’ll find there.

We hope to encourage shoppers to consider how they spend their money this holiday season. Shopping local and buying handmade means that you’re spending not only supports the local economy, but a local family, and allows the maker to continue doing what they love. Buying handmade means there is an artist somewhere doing a happy dance because of you!”

Visit 9 Muses, Pop of Confetti, Re-Funkit, Stuff, and the CACGA Gift Shop to find everything from gourmet gifts for the foodie in your life to handcrafted jewelry for the fashionistas, art for friends with blank walls to housewares with flair for the decorators. Each shop is as one-of-a-kind as the work they sell.
