Preservation Virginia, is the state’s only historic preservation organization. With over a century of dedication, our organization invites everyone to explore the rich history of the past. By revitalizing communities and safeguarding endangered sites, Preservation Virginia has created a legacy of cultural and economic transformation across the state. With engaging events and programs that bring history to life, families can discover the stories behind historic treasures like Patrick Henry’s Scotchtown, the John Marshall House, Bacon’s Castle, Smith’s Fort and the Old Cape Henry Lighthouse. These experiences aren’t just about looking back, they’re about enriching the future for younger generations, by imparting lessons of Virginia history. Join us at an upcoming event and see how the past can inspire a brighter tomorrow!
