The Wildcat: Sparring in the Jim Crow South
All ages. Learn the ropes of boxing in the Jim Crow South. We’ll follow the story of a Jackson Ward native who became known as “the Pride of 2nd Street” in the early 20th century. Don’t throw in the towel if you aren’t familiar with the history of boxing! We’ll also trace the colonial roots of the sport.
