Sabot School’s summer programs are back, with an exciting update: A Sabot Summer is now open to families across the Greater Richmond community! New and returning campers alike are invited to experience Sabot’s campus and its exciting and thoughtfully designed summer offerings for Rising K – 8th graders.
Tucked away on a wooded campus, Sabot School has long been one of Richmond’s best-kept secrets. With indoor and outdoor classrooms, winding trails, daily art studio time, and spaces designed for exploration, the campus feels like summer as it used to be—unplugged, imaginative, and joyfully active.
A Sabot Summer programs are structured with working families in mind. Regular camp hours are 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with optional extended day until 4:30 p.m.
A Sabot Summer Day Camp

At A Sabot Summer’s K–5 Day Camp, campers spend their days rotating through hands-on, themed activities, arts and crafts, games, and plenty of open-ended play, with weekly forest walks through nearby Larus Park and regular water play woven in. Mornings follow a structured rhythm, while afternoons open up for classic summer experiences like field day games, large inflatables, and free outdoor exploration across Sabot’s campus. Small, consistent groups allow friendships to grow naturally over time, supported by multi-week enrollment that helps establish strong cohorts.
