Purple With a Purpose: Harlem Nights

Join us for a themed evening of celebration, community, and philanthropy. Dress to impress in purple cocktail attire (or if you prefer, in 1920s style) and enjoy live music, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, games, photobooth, a wine pull, and a silent auction featuring exclusive packages, tickets, and luxury items, all in support of Peter Paul’s mission. This year’s theme takes inspiration from the event’s historic setting, central to the site of Richmond’s own “Harlem Renaissance” in the 1920s, at the Hippodrome Theater. Peter Paul students will step onto the same stage that hosted legends such as Bill Robinson, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway, and James Brown to evoke the sounds and voices of Harlem’s Jazz Age poets and musicians through oratory and musical performances. Hear from guest speaker, Delegate Rae Cousins, a fourth‑generation Richmonder and representative of Virginia’s 79th District who has championed education, housing justice, food insecurity, justice reform, and maternal and reproductive health in the General Assembly. Purple with a Purpose isn’t just a night out; it’s a chance to change lives. Every ticket, table, and sponsorship helps Peter Paul provide educational programs, family resources, and community support to those who need it most. Gather your friends and reserve a table or buy a ticket today!
