The HBCU Bridge Summer Edition, powered by KR Scholars, is a culturally relevant college and career readiness program designed to empower Richmond Public Schools high school juniors, seniors, and first-year college students. Through engaging, hands-on programming, students gain exposure to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), build financial literacy skills, and explore economically mobile career pathways. The program blends interactive workshops, real-world projects, and career exploration experiences to help students connect their education to long-term success. Participants will engage in topics such as HBCU awareness, scholarship strategies, personal finance, and career discovery, while also building confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of direction for their future. Select sessions may include off-site experiences such as college visits and industry exposure opportunities, providing students with meaningful, real-world insight. Led by HBCU alumni and professionals, The HBCU Bridge Summer Edition creates a supportive and inspiring environment where students are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and network needed to succeed beyond graduation.
