Celebrate the 250th anniversary of Richard Henry Lee’s Resolution for Independence at Stratford Hall during a weekend filled with history, music, and family-friendly activities! On Saturday, June 6, explore the Great House, grounds, and Visitor Center, and experience the VA250 Mobile Museum. In the evening, enjoy a festive atmosphere with DJ music, food trucks, and local wine and beer vendors. The highlight of the night is the Virginia Resolved stage program, featuring patriotic performances by the United States Navy Band, remarks on Lee’s resolution, special guest speakers, and a spectacular fireworks display over the Great House. On Sunday, June 7, step into the past with an immersive living history program. Witness a naturalization ceremony welcoming new citizens, meet historical interpreters portraying Richard Henry Lee and Hannah Corbin Lee, and experience cavalry drills, musket demonstrations, colonial music, and traditional foodways. Enjoy hands-on activities, community partner exhibits, student performances, and more throughout the day.
