Growing Into Me Summit

Empower RVA Teens are hosting their second annual summit for 7th & 8th graders! This year the title is “Growing Into Me: Learning to Love Myself & Others”. The summit will include three teen-led breakout workshops: Healthy Relationships 101, Consent & Boundaries, and Exploring Identity. Attendees will also participate in a keynote session co-facilitated by Dr. Shaashawn Dial and Tiyana Lewis of Virginia League for Planned Parenthood. They’ll be digging into the “soil” of body image and self-esteem asking: How do you stay grounded when people, media, and our negative thoughts tell you to change? Lunch and snacks will be provided.
