The Laurel School 

The Laurel School provides a small-by-design, independent choice in education that cultivates the whole child through purposeful learning, meaningful relationships, and daily engagement with the natural world. Serving kindergarten through fifth grade, The Laurel School offers an integrated program of structured literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, nature study, language, music, art, and wellness. Outdoor learning is woven throughout the day, with wooded grounds serving as extensions of the classroom. Narrative progress reports replace letter grades and rankings. Its motto, “Quietly Remarkable,” reflects the belief that meaningful education is built through thoughtful teaching, strong relationships, and consistent attention to the individual child.
