Maker’s Studio: Ty Phelps | Breaking the Lines: Poetry Through Design

Join us at The Branch on Thursday, August 13 from 6-9pm for the third workshop in our 2026 Maker’s Studio series. Led by Richmond writer Ty Phelps, this immersive three-hour workshop explores the intersection of poetry and design. Participants will experiment with line breaks, white space, and layout to discover how the shape of a poem influences the way it’s read. No poetry experience needed. Just curiosity. Tickets are $75 and include writing materials and wine. Free parking is available in the First Baptist Parking lot next to the museum.
