Seeds of Discord: Bacon’s Rebellion & Henrico County

All ages. In 1674, Nathaniel Bacon was exiled from England to Henrico County, Virginia. Two years later, he led a bloody rebellion that would not only rock Virginia but would go on to have far-reaching consequences visible across the nation even today. Brenna Geraghty, Education Manager with Preservation Virginia, will present on the influence of Henrico County and its inhabitants upon Bacon’s Rebellion in commemoration of the 350th anniversary of the notorious event.
