Beginners Ukulele for Kids (9 yrs – 14 yrs)

Calling all young musicians! Has your child been dying to pick up an instrument? The ukulele is one of the most fun, easy-to-learn instruments out there, and this class is the perfect place to start strumming. In this beginner-friendly class, kids dive into the basics of ukulele playing in a fun, supportive group setting. They’ll pick up chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs, building confidence and creativity with every lesson. No experience needed, just a willingness to jump in and have fun! Leading the class is Ms. Kat Zeh, a Richmond-area music educator who lights up every room she teaches in. She currently teaches in Hanover County Public Schools and recently completed specialized training in the Orff approach, a playful, movement-based teaching style that’s a perfect match for young learners. When she’s not in the classroom, you can catch her performing with the Richmond Concert Band and the Midnight Ukulele Society. Sound Hall Studios provides a classroom set of ukuleles for each session, so students can jump right in and start playing from day one. Grab your child’s spot and let the strumming begin!
