Becoming Visually + Musically: Sanford Kogan and RVA Baroque

Join artist Sanford Kogan and the musicians of RVA Baroque on Sunday, October 11 from 4:30–6 PM for an evening devoted to giving forgotten things another turn. Kogan will open the evening with a closer look at his work and the thinking behind FroiDesign, his practice that explores what happens when objects left “cold” are given new life. Then that same idea moves from the gallery to the music stand. Guests will choose a piece from an 18th-century French music book discovered in a market for RVA Baroque to play. The catch? The musicians will be discovering the music for the first time alongside the audience. A second life for the music, nearly 200 years in the making. Tickets include admission to Becoming, wine, beer & light bites. Free parking is available in the First Baptist Parking lot next to the museum.
