What:804 Day is about celebrating cultural experiences that are uniquely Richmond. The Science Museum of Virginia is undoubtedly on that list.
On August 4 (one week from today), guests can celebrate all the Science Museum has to offer the 804 community by enjoying hands-on experiences, eye-opening demonstrations and fascinating exhibitions for a one-day-only special discounted general admission price of only $10 per person.
Why:
Rats dunking, the human hamster wheel spinning, a robot scoring, the giant granite globe turning, a pendulum swinging, a planetarium soaring — there’s no shortage of awe-inspiring exhibits at the Science Museum that are engaging and memorable, and unique to the 804.
When: 804 Day takes place on Monday, August 4. The museum is open from 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
Who: Guests of all ages and from all areas (we’re not checking area codes!) are invited to celebrate RVA. Whether they are from the 434, 540, 757 or anywhere else, guests are invited to see why the Science Museum is an 804 gem worth celebrating.
How:Guests can purchase the discounted tickets on the Science Museum’s website (smv.org), or at Guest Services when they arrive on August 4.
The $10 admission includes general admission, plus access to the Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO® Bricks touring exhibition, labs, makerspace and demos. Shows in The Dome and tickets for the Ultimate Dinosaurs touring exhibition require an extra ticket.
