What is the summer program for Preschoolers at A Party Playhouse?
Our summer themed program is all about FUN, SELF AWARENESS AND IMAGINATION!
As a former Teacher and Recreation Therapist, I have designed our programs to allow your child to explore decision making, develop social skills and learn to interact with others.
Our PRESCHOOL Playgroups are each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 – 12:00. Moms and their little ones get out of the house for regularly scheduled playtime, stories, crafts and snacks!
Preschool Camps:
Each themed week will allow their imagination to soar and develop relationships with friends. Our program will follow a daily schedule very similar to a preschool class or traditional school environment. A typical day may include the following activities:
- Check in and free play
- “Let’s review our day’s activities” and assign “leaders” for the day
- Story time and gratitude lesson for the day. IE: Kindness or controlling your emotions
- Games (problem solving)
- Crafts (Fine motor / Eye hand coordination)
- Dramatic Play (imagination)
- Snacks
Camps operate 2 sessions per week:
Our camps only offer 12 spaces per session to ensure your little one gets the most out of our program!
Session 1: 9:00 -12:00 (3 and 4yr old)
Session 2: 1:00 – 4:00 (5 and 6 yr old)
Each themed week will include the following: Art, Games, Developing Friendships, Dramatic Play, Sports, Music, and so much more. *Snack/drinks provided.

Themed Camps include:
*Kids with Capes Camp (June 17-21)
Let’s empower our children to go on a mission to make friends, participate in group activities, and share feelings, all while discovering their own superpowers! Our superheroes will be able to ask for help, show positive emotions and develop a respect for others!
*Princess Training Camp (June 24-28)
Join us for an enchanting journey where our young princesses will unlock the mysteries of radiating Royal Princess energy. With a sparkle of kindness, a dash of confidence, and a pinch of charm, they will pave their way to princess greatness! Each DAY will include a special visit from a Royal Princess. ( a different one each day)
*Yankee Doodle (July 1-2)
Come celebrate the 4th of July with crafts, fun and friendships! This short 2 day camp is the PERFECT way to introduce your little one to structured play!
*Creative Spirits (July 8-12)
Calling all artists! This camp will focus on CREATIVITY, sharing, taking turns and of course FUN! Each day your child will create a one of a kind art piece to be displayed and then taken home at the end of the week at our Art Fair!
*Animal Adventures (July 15-19)
Does your child have a love for animals? During this week, we will dive deep into the ocean, learn about the farm and even take an imaginary trip into the jungle! We may even have some special visitors! This week will focus on being kind to others and what does responsibility mean?
*Crusin’ Camp-Monster trucks – Hot wheels (July 22-26)
Rev up those engines and hop onboard! This week, we will be rolling along to learn about taking our time. We will learn about consequences and positive behaviors! Our pit crew will create race cars and monster trucks to help guide them along the highway!
*To the Rescue! Community Helpers (July 29-Aug 2)
Let’s take a lesson from the men and women who make our town operate! To be a good citizen we will need to learn about those that keep us safe, help us learn, make our food, clean our streets, care for animals and so much more! We will spend time dressing the part and role playing, “what would you do?” Who knows, we may even have a community helper come to our camp!!
*Pirates and Mermaids (Aug 5-9)
Ahoy, Matey!! Let’s find the hidden key to open the waters of discovery and of being a good neighbor! Kind words and best behavior will set us apart from the world of mermaids and pirates!
Located in Mechanicsville, these programs are for 3-6 year olds. If your child will be entering the preschool/kindergarten programs in the fall of 2024, our programs will assist with the transition!
This is a day program. We will remain at our location for all camps/programs and have special visitors!
