In light of of the devastating fire at Fox Elementary School, a coalition of local musicians and community partners have come together for a Benefit Concert for RPS elementary school music programs on Saturday, March 5 at The Broadberry.
This concert is in partnership with JAMinc, The Broadberry Entertainment Group, the Fox PTA, and local musicians includes: NO BS! Brass, Fear of Music, the Prabir Trio, Erin Lunsford, Landon Elliott, Buenas, and more.
The event will use a sliding scale for concert tickets (starting at $20) and will donate 100% of proceeds directly to the RPS Education Foundation to purchase musical instruments for elementary schools. The evening program will start at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.).
There will also be a daytime, kid-focused program (2 p.m. doors, 2:30 p.m. show), free for children ages twelve and younger, featuring the Diggity Dudes, Jonathan the Juggler, and Buenas.
One hundred percent of ticket proceeds from the March 4 concert at The Camel (1621 W Broad St) featuring Honest Debts and the Jared Stout Band will also be donated to RPS Elementary School Music Programs.
“As musicians that have grown up and been celebrated in Richmond, we are honored to be banding together to lift up RPS music programs, and pass on the love and joy of music to future stars of the stage. Join us, and purchase a ticket or make a donation today!” JOINT STATEMENT OF PARTICIPATING MUSICIANS
