Cinderella Dreams – Where Prom Shopping Doesn’t Have to Break the Bank

Since 2006, Cinderella Dreams has partnered with Puritan Cleaners, Westchester Commons, local media companies, area businesses, community volunteers, and various nonprofit group to help hundreds of teens fulfill their prom dreams at little or no cost to them.

There are four shopping days at Westchester Commons in March 2025.

Teens Can Shop and Take Home a Dress for a $5 Donation

A huge selection of dresses and accessories will be available during the March shopping events hosted by Cinderella Dreams and located in Westchester Commons. High schoolers can shop alongside a Cinderella Dreams fairy godmother to select a dress and accessories – all for a suggested donation of $5 to help the cause. 

Teens can shop for prom dresses and accessories at Westchester Commons in the former Glow Golf location, 301 Perimeter Drive, Midlothian.

2025 Shopping Dates and Hours: 

March 7: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
March 8: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
March 22: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
March 23: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Mission of Cinderella Dreams

Cinderella Dreams is committed to educating and empowering teens through planned events and drives with the express goal of building confidence, self-esteem, and leadership skills with an ultimate goal of providing a positive foundation in life. 

In 2024, Cinderella Dreams collected over 2,500 dresses, which allowed almost 300 teens in the greater Richmond area found the dress of their dreams. Additionally, prom-style dresses have been donated to Appomattox Regional Governor’s School, Chesterfield Virtual PTA, Hope for Appalachia , and area schools. 

Please visit the Cinderella Dreams website to see how you can support the mission as an individual through volunteering, as well as individual and corporate sponsorship opportunities. 

Prom Dresses Accepted at Puritan Cleaners

Puritan Cleaners serves as a year-round collection location with a focus on donations during January and February. Please visit the Puritan Cleaners website for locations to donate formal and semi-formal dresses in all sizes and styles. Additional locations to donate dresses, shoes, and accessories are on the Cinderella Dreams website. Please consider donating your family’s prom dresses and accessories to Cinderella Dreams to help make a teen’s dream come true!
