If you’re a podcast listener, you’ve probably heard Full Disclosure with Roben Farzad. The podcast, turned radio show on NPR/VPM News 88.9 FM, recently switched to a live format to address the growing need for answers to financial questions. Through engaging conversations with national and local experts, each show will answer listener calls and provide valuable insight for everyday decisions.
“To be able to do this on the sixth anniversary of the show, to the very day it started, from the very town that I love is a dream come true for me. Grateful for RVA and VPM,” said Farzad.
Farzad, who also makes frequent appearances on NPR’s Here and Now and other national media, takes listener calls Fridays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at 804-999-4VPM.
The May 22 show, Graduation Consternation, will address topics for 2020 high school and college graduates related to the economy and the job market. “High school seniors are reassessing their college plans, and this spring’s college graduates are entering the most punishing labor market in memory,” says Farzad.
With so much uncertainty, what can young people and 2020 graduates do to thrive?
Linda Kaplan Thaler, author of Grit to Great: How Perseverance, Passion, and Pluck Take You from Ordinary to Extraordinary, joins Farzad on Friday to talk about how this generation’s young leaders can rise to the challenges of a COVID-19 economy.
The show will rebroadcast on Saturdays at 6:00 p.m. and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. on 88.9 FM.
