Not even a winter storm could stand in the way of hope. Freedom Recovery Centers, a state-of-the-art, 60-bed residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment facility, officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 20, 2025, at 300 Gateway Centre Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23235. Despite challenging weather conditions, the event proceeded as planned, underscoring the unwavering commitment to providing lifesaving
support to those struggling with addiction.

Freedom Recovery Centers is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment, offering services such as individual and group therapy, medication-assisted treatment, withdrawal management, and aftercare planning.

“We are thrilled to bring Freedom Recovery Centers to Richmond and provide essential
care to those battling addiction,” said Greg Eger, CEO of Freedom Recovery Centers.
“Recovery doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. Addiction is an urgent crisis, and we are here to offer stability, resources, and unwavering support no matter the circumstances.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, community leaders, and
Freedom Recovery Centers representatives. The event featured a guided tour of the facility,
remarks from key speakers, and an official ribbon-cutting moment, symbolizing a fresh start for many in the community. Additionally, an open house took place on February 19, 2025, providing the community an opportunity to meet the dedicated staff and explore the facility. Complimentary appetizers and beverages were provided to attendees, who had the chance to learn more about the center’s mission and services.
