Local author Lana Krumwiede recently visited the junior kindergarten and kindergarten students at Millwood School in Midlothian.
Students enjoyed a story time featuring a reading of the author’s newest book, Just Itzy, which is about Itzy Bitzy Spider attending Spindergarten and the reasoning behind his attempts to climbs the waterspout so many times. The character Itzy encounters two other nursery rhyme figures in Just Itzy, “Little Miss Muffet” and “The Old Lady” students remember from The Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly.
“This was a perfect way for these students to complete their study nursery rhymes in language arts and have an introduction to a study of insects,” said Betsy Latham with Millwood School.
Krumwiede is also the author of The Psi Chronicles, a series for middle school students.
