Lucy Dacus Returns to Richmond

The team that created Richmond’s celebrated Iron Blossom Music Festival is proud to announce the return of Lucy Dacus to Richmond, Friday, September 19, 2025, at Altria Theater. Doors open at 7:00PM. Tickets range from $35 to $85 + fees. Tickets and more info can be found here.

Fresh from her Grammy-winning run with supergroup boygenius, Lucy Dacus is touring in support of her fourth studio album, “Forever Is a Feeling.” A native of Mechanicsville, Virginia, and a graduate of Richmond’s Maggie Walker Governor’s School, her show at the Altria Theater represents a sort of homecoming for the artist Rolling Stone called “one of the best songwriters of her generation.” She has performed on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Both as a solo artist and with boygenius, she has performed at Lollapalooza, Coachella, and behind NPR’s Tiny Desk.

Her latest release, “Forever Is a Feeling,” includes contributions from Hozier (an Iron Blossom alum), boygenius bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, Madison Cunningham, and more.

Lucy’s new album debuted at #16 in the U.S. and #5 in the UK, with the lead single “Ankles” in the Top 5 at Triple A Radio.

She has released three full-length albums under her name: 2016’s No Burden, 2018’s Historian, and 2021’s Home Video. This year she’s back with her fourth studio album Forever Is A Feeling after a career-defining year with boygenius, her band with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker. boygenius’ the record landed #1 on the UK, Irish and Dutch album charts, #1 on Billboard’s Vinyl Album chart, and #4 on Billboard 200 and was named a top 10 album of 2023 by Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Billboard, Variety, and many more. Dacus has performed on Saturday Night Live, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and CBS This Morning. 2025’s Forever Is A Feeling was released via Geffen/Interscope on March 28, 2025.

About the Iron Blossom Festival:  Now in its third year, the Iron Blossom Music Festival brings Grammy winners, Billboard Top 100 artists, and a host of local and regional acts to Richmond, Virginia for two days of music, food, and local artisans and vendors. The inaugural event in 2023 welcomed over 26,000 people and artists including Hozier, Noah Kahan, Lord Huron, Elle King and more.
