Summer Sounds concert series kicks off Memorial Day Weekend
Visitors to Stony Point Fashion Park can meet, eat and shop to the beat this summer as they enjoy the center’s Summer Sounds concert series featuring live music every
Friday through Saturday. The summer-long series kicks off May 24, Memorial Day weekend, and continues through Sept. 1, Labor Day weekend.
Performances take place every Friday through Saturday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. on the Summer Sounds stage, located near the Pop Jet Fountain. Additional holiday performances take place Mondays, May 26 and Sept. 1, from 1 until 5 p.m.
“Summer Sounds has become a shopper favorite,” says Noelynn Hill, Marketing and Sponsorship Director at Stony Point Fashion Park. “We’ve hand-picked local and regional bands to play some terrific oldies, rock, Top 40, jazz, country, and Motown. Plus, this year we’ve added some children’s entertainers on select Sundays throughout the season.”
Shoppers can enjoy favorite tunes by more than two dozen bands and musicians including Kings of Swing, Klaxton Brown, Class Act Band, The English Channel, The Deloreans, Casper, Jangling Reinharts, B2B, King Edward & the BDs, Vinyl Headlights, The Diggity Dudes, and many others.
