Summer of Savings discounts on tickets to this year’s State Fair of Virginia, September 28 through October 7, are here.
Purchases of advance online tickets from now through August 31 offer the best savings of the season. Adult online tickets are just $10, and children/senior ticket prices during the Summer of Savings offer are just $7. This is a $5 discount off the regular gate admission price of $15 for adults and $12 for child/senior.
Also available are season passes for those who like to visit more than one day. Season passes, which are good for admission all ten days of the fair, are $35 during the Summer of Savings.
Advance online prices go up September 1. Season passes will be $40, adult tickets will be $13 and children/senior will be $10.
During the Summer of Savings window, guests can save 33 percent by purchasing wristbands between July 16 and August 31. During that time, the bands cost $17 instead of the regular $25 price.
“We hope fairgoers will take advantage of this special Summer of Savings discount. It really is a good deal, and offers the most economical way for families or individuals to visit the fair,” said Marlene Pierson-Jolliffe, the fair’s executive director. “We’re also pleased to once again offer premium parking for customers who want the convenience of parking on the north side of state Route 30, on asphalt.”
For those who want to park close-by, the fair is offering premium parking passes to the first 300 guests daily. Premium parking passes can be purchased online for $15 and must be ordered one week in advance of a visit. They are valid only for the day for which they were purchased.
Admission tickets include all musical entertainment as well as grounds attractions and roving performers. This year’s concert lineup includes American Idol alumnus, Scotty McCreery. His debut studio album was certified platinum and his newest single, Five More Minutes, topped Country Billboard charts this year.
Also on the musical lineup is seven-time Grammy nominee, gospel singer Natalie Grant. Other entertainers include country singers Craig Campbell, Chris Lane, Dylan Scott and Trent Harmon, another American Idol alumni.
For an additional fee, fans who want to watch their favorite performers up-close and personal can buy tickets for Blue Ribbon Seating this year. There will be 500 seats near the stage that can be purchased for an additional $10 per show. Seats are general admission and not covered, but chairs are provided in the area closest to the stage.
Discount pricing for large groups also is available. For information on the fair’s group sales program for parties of twenty or more, call 804-994-2891 or email groupsales@statefairva.org.
