Stokke donates baby carriers to help refugee
families in Greece, and invites RVA to do the same!
Refugee families of all faiths are walking hundreds of miles to their asylum destinations in Europe. Adults with small children are forced to carry them in their arms making the trek that much harder. Carry the Future, a local nonprofit, has partnered with the YMCA to collect baby carriers to help parents on the move throughout the world.
Since 2006, Stokke has focused exclusively on premium children’s furniture and equipment. The manufacturer continues a long tradition of designing smart, sustainable products that promote bonding and healthy development of families. That’s why the Norway-based company reached out to offer a donation of three new baby carriers to support families in crisis through this RVA donation drive.
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is collecting new or gently used baby carriers at all of its Richmond-area locations through June 17. Please drop off donations during regular business hours at any YMCA of Greater Richmond location.
