BLK Virginia Theatre Alliance (BVTA) exists to create, produce, and support professional theatrical work that centers Black voices historically underrepresented perspectives, and expands equitable access to the performing arts, and cultivates artistic opportunity, cultural dialogue, and community accountability across Richmond and the Commonwealth of Virginia. We achieve this by producing challenging works from underrepresented voices, by providing accessible arts education.
