Book Launch and Panel Discussion – We the People: The World In Virginia

We The People: The World in Virginia serves as the signature publication for the Virginia Museum of History & Culture’s exhibition We The People: The World in Our Commonwealth, which explores the many people who, over centuries, have made Virginia the unique place it is in America and in the world, and the dramatic impact of the immigrant experience through Virginia’s history as people arrived from the four corners of the globe. Join Daniel Morales (Virginia Commonwealth University), Katrina Powell (Virginia Tech), Grant Rissler (University of Richmond), and Noah Tinsley (VMHC) for a panel discussion moderated by the VMHC’s We the People curator Julie Maio Kemper, about their essay contributions to the book and the profound way immigrants have both shaped and been shaped by Virginia and this nation. The panel discussion will be followed by a reception with light refreshments.
