Chesterfield County Airport to Host Open House and Movie Night

The Richmond Executive-Chesterfield County Airport invites the community to attend its fourth annual Open House and Movie Night on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Beginning at sunset, The Rocketeer (PG) will be shown on a large movie screen with the airport’s runway and taxiway serving as the ultimate backdrop. Prior to the movie, this free, family-friendly event will include aircraft and apparatus displays from the Virginia Department of Aviation, Chesterfield Fire and EMS, Police and Sheriff’s departments, Virginia State Police MedFlight 1 and local aviation organizations. Local food trucks will be on site selling their offerings. The Chesterfield Police Activities League (CPAL) will offer popcorn and water for $1.00. All proceeds to benefit CPAL. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. No pets, outside food or drinks or glassware will be allowed. If the event needs to be canceled due to inclement weather, it will be done no later than 2 p.m. on Saturday, the day of the event.
